We are a diverse, up and coming group of young award-winning musician sisters from Drumcondra, county Dublin. We specialize in traditional irish music and song and mainly credit our experience to our long familial exposure to the tradition. Coming from a long line of music-passionate individuals like our grandad, the reknowned Clare singer, flautist and composer Séamus mac Mathuna we were surrounded by reels, jigs and sean-nós songs from an early age and a love for music which has transcended each generation and become an integral part of our playing today.

 

Our group is comprised of Emer (18) on harp, Caoilfhionn (17) on concertina and Sorcha (15) on pipes.

 

We have had the pleasure of many playing opportunities and gigs for several years now and some of our recent highlights include the Body and Soul stage at Electric Picnic, our act as Clann Uí Scolaí for the 'Dublin's Resilience' performance in temple bar alongside the well-known Mulligan, O'Brien and Potts families, opening for Moya Brennan and Clannad at the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre in Naul, our 2022 spot at the Liam O Floinn tribute concert in the National Concert Hall hosted by actor Stephen Rea and our 2020 tv appearance as semi-finalists on Rté's Réalta agus Gaolta family talent show. We are the recipients of various awards, including titles at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Mullingar, Drogheda, Ennis and Sligo, both classical and traditional Feis Ceoil, O'Carolan's Cup, the Oireachtas and many more.

 

We currently have 16 all-Ireland titles between us being accomplished musicians both as a unit and in our own right, and look forward to future achievements and opportunities.

 

We've had the pleasure of playing alongside some of the Irish traditional music scene's most noteworthy names including Mick O Brien, Noel Hill, Louise Mulcahy, Ronan Brown and many more.
